This policy explains what The Quiet Cards ("we", "us") collects when you visit thequietcards.com or order a reading, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Order form: your first name, the other person's first name, what you write about your situation, the answers you choose (such as where things stand and for how long), and your questions (and, for follow-ups, your question and the email of your original reading).
- Checkout: your email address and payment details. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see your full card number.
- Browsing: cookies and similar technologies used by Shopify and, if you consent where required, by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure our ads.
How we use it
- The form data is used only to generate and deliver your reading and any follow-up, and to help you if you contact us. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell it.
- Your email is used to deliver your reading, send order-related messages, and handle refunds.
- Purchase events (for example, that a purchase happened and its value) are shared with Meta to measure and improve our ads.
How the reading is generated
Your form text and your three cards are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which generates the reading. A short automated safety check runs first so we don't write readings for situations that need real help. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and does not use it to train its models under our commercial terms.
Retention
The text you write in the order form, the answers you choose there, your questions, and the readings and answers we write for you are stored in our reading service.
- Single readings: we delete them from our reading service 90 days after your order.
- 30-Day Reading Access: we keep them while your access is active, so your follow-ups can build on what you've shared, and delete them 90 days after your last paid access period ends.
We keep a minimal order record (your email, the cards drawn, dates and amounts) for as long as needed for accounting, refunds and legal obligations.
Some copies are held by the providers listed below under their own terms: your order details, including what you typed at checkout, remain in our store's order history with Shopify (we can remove the text you wrote from it if you ask); our email provider keeps delivery records of the emails we send you; and our AI provider processes your text to write your reading under its commercial terms.

Some of these providers are located in the United States.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to stop processing it, by writing to thequietcards@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California) you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

The service is only for people aged 18 or over.
